Debt Mediation Counselling

Debt Mediation Counselling

What is debt counselling?

Debt counselling is described, in the National Credit Act, as a process of assisting over-indebted South Africans to reduce the monthly instalments they pay towards their debts and to provide them with financial alleviation and protection, so they are able to pay their debts back without creditors taking legal action.

Debt counselling is regulated by the National Credit Regulator and all debt counselling firms have to be registered with the National Credit Regulator (NCR).  All of our debt consultants, at Reduce My Debts are registered with the NCR and are qualified professional Debt Counsellors.

Our consultants will educate you on the benefits of debt counselling, as well as informing you as to how it can help you improve your financial health.

Once you have completed the debt counselling process, you will be issued with a clearance certificate to clear your credit record – making you officially debt-free!
